We Are Your
Savannah SisterS

Sister Aura Lee...Gifted!

I’m Sister Aura Lee...Gifted! I began my journey with the Mother House of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in San Francisco back in 1994. After decades of joyful service, I joined the Sin Sity Sisters in Las Vegas in 2021—and in late 2024, I relocated to Savannah, where I’m 1 of 6 working to found The Priory of Good & Evil and the Savannah Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

As a GenX queer kid coming out in the '80s, I looked up to groups like ACT UP and the Radical Faeries—but I had never seen anything like the Sisters. That changed during my first visit to San Francisco. The moment I saw them, I knew I had found my path.
I joined within weeks of moving there—and the rest is Sistory.

After nearly three decades in the habit, I’ve been part of many unforgettable moments—but as corny as it sounds, helping to start a new House in Savannah may be the most memorable. The welcome and excitement we've received since our first outing has been incredible. Figuring out what this community needs—and how the Sisters can help—is a powerful and joyful new chapter in my calling.

Nv. Sister Willa Bea

I'm Sister Willa B…, and like most people who stumble into enlightenment, I spent years admiring the Sisters from afar. The moment I heard we were going to promulgate Joy and expiate Stigmatic Guilt, I did what any sensible person would do: I looked up what "promulgate" and "expiate" actually meant. That’s when I knew I’d found something to believe in.

Nv. Sister RoseMary Magdalene

Hey y’all! I’m Sister Rosie! I was first drawn to the Sisters during a local rally.

I had never met a Sister before and knew next to nothing about their mission.  Between the blinding glitter and their words of wisdom I knew I needed to be a part of making the world more fabulous.  The Sisters represented everything I was looking for and everything I wanted to be for my community.

Being a part of establishing this house in the city I call home is a blessing.  With all of the uncertainty and strife happening in the world, I want to be a source of joy for those around me.  I am looking forward to hosting events with local organizations to bring awareness (and funds) to the people who work so hard for this beautiful city.

Love ya, bye!

Nv. Sister Goat Cheese

Hello, kind person. Thanks for visiting our humble little website! I'm Sister Goat Cheese, your friendly neighborhood Baphomet enjoyer.

Up until this point, I haven't heard of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence before. Thankfully I chose to browse social media at the perfect moment to catch a flyer advertising for a new chapter starting right here in Savannah! Being one of those weird spooky kids, The Sisters seemed really cool with their religious imagery and dark humor.  I knew it was my perfect opportunity to explore drag in a way that spoke to my soul.

I'm super-duper excited to be a part of this historic organization where I can express myself and spread awareness about issues which are important to me. More than anything, I'm overjoyed to be apart of something that is committed to serving my LGBTQIA+ Community.

Nv. Sister Lez Beau

I found out about the sisters through the pride Center and immediately wanted to become a part of it to make a difference in my community. I'm excited to be a part of a group that wants to make a difference while having fun and enjoying our time together. I enjoyed participating in protests, creating community events to express ourselves and enjoying our love for one another.

Nv. Sister Natural Selection

I am a born and raised southern queer. Now more than ever being loud and proud is important to me, and the Sisters provide a fun and fabulous opportunity to do so. Initially I heard about them in association with pride events, but I learned more after attending an interest meeting here in Savannah. I am looking forward to doing education outreach and putting on events for the community.
